First, it's important to note that this article is for Clover Register users. If you're a Clover Online ONLY user, please hop over to this article. Not sure what kind of account you have? Click here

After you've added some categories, you may need to edit or delete them. To manage categories, sign into clover.com if you aren't already, and select "inventory."

Click the "Categories" tab.

From here, you can add a new category and follow our instructions, but let's show you how to edit and delete ones you've already created.

Search for the category you'd like to edit and click the green pencil on the right to edit it. (Click the trashcan icon next to itif you'd rather delete it).

From here, you can edit the category name by simply clicking and typing in the Category Name field box. You can also add items by clicking the dropdown in the field labeled "Add Items."

Below these fields, you'll see all the items that have been assigned to this category. If you'd like to delete an item, simply click the corresponding X.

You can also reorganize the order in which these items are viewed by dragging and dropping, as the instructions explain.

Finally, on the bottom right, click "Delete" if you'd like to delete this category. Confirm that you'd like to delete it.

Whenever you're done making changes to this category, simply click the green "Save" link. In addition to the category management options supplied by Clover Inventory, there are some category management actions that can be made in the Clover Online app that you may want to review as well.

In terms of practical application, any and all categories you have that are marked as active will appear under the "Shop" dropdown of your Clover Online. To check your categories' status and/or edit them in Clover Online, open up the Clover Online application.

From your dashboard, click "Manage" from the products field.

Then click "Manage Categories" underneath the "More" tab.

From the categories page, find the row underneath "Active." Any categories marked active will be available for sale in your Clover Online website. Anything without the blue checkmark will not be available for online sales. You can suspend categories from online sale for as long as you like, then come back and check the box for active again once you're ready to sell that category online.

Again, your categories will appear under the "Shop" dropdown near the top right corner of your live site.
